Picoplankton spherical prymnesiophyte (2-4 µm) without visible haptonema, showing 2 yellow-brown chloroplasts and a papilla between the two flagella (4-7 µm). Reminiscent of Dicrateria inornata in light microscopy, to be distinguished by the presence of scales in electron microscopy.
