Protoperidinium ovatum
caption This species is flattened anerio-posteriorly. The epitheca has a short apical horn. The hypotheca bears two distinct, winged spines on either side of sulcus. The species is cosmopolitan. It has been found in the Irish Sea, Atlantic and Indian Ocean.
