Ankyra ancora

Ankyra ancora occurs solitary or in small groups and is planktonic. Cells are fusiform, with an anterior pole (corresponding to flagellar pole of zoospore) tapering gradually to a long bristle which bears a pair of leaf-like appendages. Length: 50-104 µm
