Picoplankton pelagophyceae (length 2-3 µm), with an organic theca, one chloroplast, but no stigma and no pyrenoid, a single flagellum with bipartite flagellar hairs emanating from a flagellar groove ventrally on the cell. Found in picoplankton of the northern Pacific Ocean.
