Small elongate prymnesiophyte (length 8-18.5 µm, width 6-11 µm) with a short haptonema (2.5-6.3 µm) and two heterodynamic flagella (16-25 µm and 9.5-20 µm), covered by three scale types (up to six layers), with two golden-orange lobed chloroplasts with an obvious pyrenoid. Isolated originally from a tidal pool.
