Heterotrophic flagellate, in the free, motile stage, oblong to oval (length 9-12 µm, width 4-5 µm), with two apically inserted flagella, anteriorly directed flagellum (15 µm), posteriorly directed flagellum (25 µm). Feeds on the marine planktonic diatom Guinardia delicatula.
