Picoplankton round or heart-shaped bolidophyceae (length 1-1.7 µm) with two flagella : the long one (4-7µm), in the forward direction, with tubular flagellar hairs, and the short one (0.9-2.2 µm), naked, with a marked acronema. Dorsal chloroplast without pyrenoid.
