2005 Protoperidinium vorax Siano & Montresor Protoperidinium vorax is a sall heterotrophic dinoflagellate, that is almost spherical in shape, 16-26µm high and 16-25µm wide. The epitheca is dome shaped and the hypotheca rounded. The cingulum is excavated and located centrally. Several small globular bodies, appearing yellow-green, when viewed under blue light in an epifluorescence microscope.
