caption
1970 Protoraphis hustedtiana Simonsen
This is a rare species with small lanceolate cells. The ends of the valve are rounded. P. hustedtiana has a narrow pseudoraphe, which is straight in the centre of the valve and curved (in opposite directions) at the valve end. Between the poles and the valve end a characteristic, transapically arranged, row of coarser cells is found. Cells are 46-112.5 mm long and 5.5 µm wide.
