Diplosigopsis is a tiny Choanoflagellate with a which is mounted without stalk on the substratum. Gradually the becomes opaque due to stocked iron or manganese compounds. The multi layer image shows the vesicular .
This multi layer image was built up using several frames with a manual stacking technique. The indicates 5 µm.
The specimen was gathered in the wetlands of Oderbruch (Oder valley 100 km north east of Berlin). Epibiont on a slide glass which was placed in water for 3 days. Images were taken using Zeiss Universal with Olympus C7070 CCD camera.
